No romantic partner will ever make you any more than what you are alone. If it takes a relationship to make you feel better about yourself or improve you as an individual, you were never good enough even for yourself. Until you are good enough for yourself, by yourself, you will never be as good of a romantic partner as you can be. And if you don't feel good and have a good relationship with yourself when you're single, you won't have a really good relationship together with anyone else.
