Often times we get this little image of how life is “supposed to be” in our heads. It’s natural. We thrive on security. Yet our image is nothing more than an artificial idealistic image. Sometimes life plays along with this image but often it doesn't. The universe is the perfect environment to sustain life as a whole, not as a servant to the multitude of different idealistic hopes and dreams of the individuals within it. We will face on a regular basis events and crises which will challenge us and occasionally cause deep hurts.
We can complain about the realities of life pushing ourselves into an un-escapable mire of self-pity or we can courageously accept the situation for what it is. Stand strong, pull up your big boy and girl pants, and then decide the most favorable course of action to take in the given set of unfavorable circumstances. When we develop the resilience to face the unplanned and difficult in an ethical and purposeful way, we will find our inner peace will thrive and our lives will flourish." ~Troy Murphy
