Are you where you want to be? Are you getting closer to where you want to be? Are you moving away from where you don't want to be? And exactly how far are you from where you want to be and away from where you don't want to be? Well, those are really good questions if you're not content where you are today. And here's another question: Do we ever really know exactly how far we are from where we want to be? Thinking that we're still far away from where we want to be is a bit overwhelming, daunting and discouraging. So we can choose to think that we may just be much closer than we think/know/believe we are.
You can make a great head start to getting away from where you were (or are), a place in life that you don't want to be. And that is to get mentally away (the farther the better) from where you used to be. But how do we do this? Changing your physical location is great and helpful, but changing your mind is even better. Getting physically to where you want to be won't do you much good if you're still mentally and emotionally stuck in a undesirable past "location" (or even an undesirable present "location"). Prepare your mind first. The body will be more ready to naturally and more easily follow. You may be just around the corner from exactly where you want to be, and you may only need to change your mind to turn that corner.
